Hi! It’s me, Tumbler! This happened today. I wanted to crawl behind the wooden stand that is in front of the window in the living room. My brown blanky is there and I usually just sit under the wooden stand, but today I wanted to climb behind it. Momma is always saying, “Oh, my little Tumbler!” or “Tumbler, my sweet little boy!” so naturally I thought I was very little. And when I decided to climb behind the wooden stand, I did not see a problem. I do whatever I want to do and I be whatever I want to be. It is a little space, I thought, but I am little. But apparently I was not little ENOUGH, because I got stuck. I got my arm through and my head through and then I just kind of laid there because the sun was shining on me and I was like: “Yay! Sun!” And whenever the sun shines on me it’s like a laser beam of laziness and I just stop what I’m doing. So even though I was stuck I didn’t really care because I was getting sun. So I just took a nap. And Momma took my picture. And then she unstuck me. It all worked out.
Love, Tumbler
When we first adopted him, Tumbler couldn’t do stairs due to his cerebellar hypoplasia. Then, he learned to do them in a hoppy kind of way. Often, he fell down them or tumbled over during his attempts to climb them. We couldn’t stop him. He loves persisting. Now, he does stairs all the time, granted slowly and by clawing in to the carpet. He wobbles a bit as he goes, but he usually doesn’t fall. Good boy! Cheer him on. :-) He still prefers his ramp for the stairs to his food and litterbox but when he comes up the stairs to the second floor he does so well. :-)
1) Tumbler got into the candy canes. 2) Tumbler and Juice fought over the last candy cane. 3) Juice watched in horror as Tumbler licked the last candy cane. 4) Juice cried in the background while Tumbler enjoyed his festive treat. #ohTumbler #cats #catsofinstagram #instacollage #christmas
Tumbler told me he wanted to wear jeans.
I told him to live the dream.
(He couldn’t quite figure out that legs go into pants, not heads.)
Oh the things I do in order to get grad school work done… If I shut myself in a room, Tumbler throws his body at the door and cries (for HOURS). If I let him in the room with me, he just tries relentlessly to get in my lap (laptop jealousy) or plays on everything I’m working on. BUT if I pull out a duffle bag, he happily gets inside and has the time of his life without giving me a second thought. Works like a charm. Problem is, he’s so cute I’m a bit distracted anyway! #cats #ohTumbler #catsofinstagram
“Even when I’m asleep on something, I always claw in. I’m so tumbly and have no balance, so I constantly have to make sure I don’t fall - even while I’m dreaming. I use my little side claw to keep myself steady.”
Tumbler told me he wanted ALL the air conditioning. ALL of it. I told him to live the dream. #cats #catsofinstagram #funny #tumbler (Taken with Instagram)
